Dinner at a Kelong - Restoran Asli!

Its been a busy busy week and the holiday mood is over!
soon, it would be CNY again.
How time flies.

So back to our Christmas/ year end treat from one of our working partners in JB.
He brought us to a kelong to eat a sumptuous meal of Seafood by the waters!
Yes, authentic good food.
Heading form office to JB!

Drove for about a half an hour to a little corner kampong. yes, a really typical kampong.
before arriving to Retoran Asli!
Attached a map below to show you just how near it is!
Less than half an hours drive from Woodlands checkpoint, passing by Danga Bay, it is very easy to get to another world from the busy city.

Mandatory group shot.
I was the behind the camera...

Whilst waiting for the dishes to come, as typical Singaporeans, we HAD to take some selfies.
Who could forgo the rustic background.

Sweater and shoes form Korea
Skorts from Bugis street
Please prepare to feast on all the good food and salivate!
Lala~

Some random out of focused tofu.
The fish was soft and juicy, and the sauce was tasty.
you will never understand the emphasis of the words I am typing, but when I say tasty, it reads as TAAAASSTTYYYYY. (lol)

Scary eye ball for you.
Im sorry, I just had to take that. haha

The cereal prawn was crispy and succulent. Don't you want to dive into it?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh~~~~
Hello OYSTER.

Black pepper crab.

Garlic Crab!

Behind the scenessssss
No one to touch that dish first!
The shy ones.
Had to force them to take pictures!
Yes boss.

3 little Mices.

Final group shot for the night before heading back to reality.

I would say the environment is a little different from the life in Singapore, the kampongs and the run down place would let you think about all the blessings you should count, for what we already have.
The little children would come up to you asking for small change, wearing old and dirty slippers.
It really calls for a reality check.

As for the food, I would say it is very affordable. a little less than 300 ringgit for 10 pax. WOOOW!
The food was DELICIOUS. if you're looking for a place to eat,
you might want to give here a thought.
I had no problems after eating the food, so I would say it is relatively safe to eat?
(For those who are cleanliness conscious.)

CQC Christmas & Club Empire Grand Opening

Clarke Quay Central is having their Christmas promotions now.
Head on over, spend a minimum of $50 and be able to redeem a carousel ride!
Or if you spend more, you would be able to redeem other amazing things as well.

Or you could also head on down to support our angels, like Clarke Quay Central's Facebook page and redeem a Sticky's Lollipop.
This is our cart creation. How cute is this!

The Clarke Quay Central Christmas Angels.

Headed for a quick dinner with Meiqi, Zhiming, Royston, Cheris & her fiancé!
Was supposed to be a PID gathering, but, ended up to be a few of us grabbing a quick dinner.
Thank god for them to accompany me for my lonely Friday at Clarke Quay.

Went on to chill at Fern and kiwi before heading off to the Grand opening of Club Empire at Singapore Land Towers. Level 45 at the Singapore Land Towers.
Apologies for the blurr photos, it was dark and resolution was bad.

Our drinks for the night.
Champagne and Beer.

There is an indoor and outdoor part of the club. The view is superb though.

Spam time.

A Long Long Night; Literally Long

HELLUVA NIGHT!

Started off with meeting a few of us to sit in the limo before heading to Shanghai Dolly to pick the birthday girls.
Hello~! Trying to get a proper pic here please..

Thats better!

Picked them up and surprised them in the Limo!
We had beer and only beer.
Thing to note, corkage is super expensive in the limo.
I just don't get it! The corkage is $80 per bottle. Nope, you didn't see it wrong. $80.
Its the same price as my champagne!
So we just ordered some beer and drank it in the limo.

The limo was booked from http://www.cosmosine.com
You may wish to check out their website for more information on the pricing.
Thats beer in the glass FYI.hahah

The driver was friendly and they were really nice! They drove randomly around orchard, and we started waving to random people. It was really fun!

We were about to arrive at our secret location, so we definitely needed them to blindfold themselves up!
They were so upset they couldn't take a proper picture of themselves with the limo.

Group A tightening the masks whilst group B hurried up to prepare the room!
A group shot is a must!
Still blindfolded even up till the moment they sat on the chair!
Obviouslyyyy, halloween themed.

We were joking that it looked like some witchcraft session going on.
BTW, those are all shots of different mixtures. Some of which were not as bad as the rest.
And each of them had to down 7 shots in a row. *Oooops*

Thinking long and hard before picking the proper shot glass.
This was a very scary process though.

CHAMPAGNE TIME!!
MY FAVOURITE!

They joked that I looked like the Tiger beer girl for the night.
Perhaps Tiger could have me as their ambassador. hahaha!

And they should.. Because look at our fridge!
Tiger Tiger Tiger Tiger..

Sharlyn came at the later part with a birthday cake for the girls.
Chocolate cake is a must.

Time for a selfie with the survivors of the night. The rest knocked out. haha

GOOD NIGHT WORLD!
